1. Who we are

EasyRegistry provides online gift registry, wishing well, event, payment, auction and fundraising-related services.

EasyRegistry provides the software and platform used to create, host and run registries, auctions, events and fundraising pages. Where an auction, sale, fundraiser or event is run through EasyRegistry, the organiser, and not EasyRegistry, is responsible for that activity. EasyRegistry is not the auctioneer, seller, charity, fundraiser, escrow holder, payment custodian or merchant of record for organiser-run auctions, sales or fundraising.

References to "EasyRegistry", "we", "us" and "our" mean EasyRegistry and the operator of the EasyRegistry website and services.

2. What personal information we collect

We may collect the following types of personal information:

• support payment, payout, refund, dispute, chargeback and reconciliation processes;

• personalise and improve the user experience;
• maintain the safety, security and integrity of our services;
• detect, prevent and investigate fraud, misuse, unauthorised access, payment abuse, unlawful activity or breaches of our terms;
• comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting and reporting obligations;
• resolve disputes and enforce our rights;
• notify you of features, services, updates or opportunities that may be relevant to you, where permitted by law.

5. Auctions, fundraising and events

If you use EasyRegistry to create, manage, bid in, purchase from, donate to or participate in an auction, fundraising page or event, we may collect, use and disclose personal information for purposes connected with that auction, fundraising page or event.

This may include:

• creating and displaying auction, event or fundraising pages;
• displaying organiser, recipient, item, sponsor or donor information where included on a public page;
• recording bids, purchases, donations, contributions and payment status;
• notifying bidders, winners, organisers, donors, recipients and guests about auction activity, payment, fulfilment, collection or delivery;
• providing organisers with information about bidders, winners, buyers, donors or guests where reasonably needed to run the auction or event;
• enabling organisers to contact winners, buyers or donors about payment, collection, delivery, redemption, receipts, refunds or disputes;
• helping organisers, recipients or payment providers comply with legal, tax, regulatory, fundraising, payment, anti-fraud or dispute-resolution obligations;
• investigating misuse, fraud, unauthorised activity, payment disputes, chargebacks or breaches of our terms.

Where you are an organiser, event host, seller, fundraiser or recipient, you must only use personal information obtained through EasyRegistry for the purposes for which it was provided, including running the relevant registry, auction, event or fundraising activity, arranging payment, delivery or collection, communicating with participants, resolving disputes and complying with law.

You must not use bidder, buyer, donor, guest or recipient information for unrelated marketing or other unrelated purposes unless you have a separate lawful basis and any required consent.

6. Payments and payment providers

EasyRegistry may allow payments to be made through third-party payment providers, including Stripe, PayPal, Revolut, PayID, bank transfer or other supported payment methods.

Where payments are made by credit card or other online payment methods, payment information may be collected and processed by the relevant payment provider. For auction and fundraising features, organisers may be required to connect and maintain their own Stripe account. Payments may be processed for the organiser through that organiser's connected Stripe account. Funds are paid into the organiser's own connected Stripe account, and EasyRegistry does not hold, escrow or take custody of those funds.

We may receive and store limited payment-related information, such as payment status, transaction identifiers, payer details, amount, currency, refund status, dispute status and related records. We do not usually receive or store full credit card numbers.

Payment providers process personal information in accordance with their own terms, privacy policies and legal obligations. You should review the relevant payment provider's privacy policy before using that payment method.

7. Information shared with registry owners, organisers and recipients

When you contribute to a registry, bid in an auction, purchase an auction item, make a donation, send a message or otherwise participate in a registry, event, auction or fundraising page, we may share relevant personal information with the registry owner, event host, auction organiser, seller, recipient, charity, school, club, not-for-profit or other nominated recipient.

This may include your name, contact details, contribution details, bid details, purchase details, donation details, payment status, gift message, delivery or collection details, and communications relevant to the transaction or event.

We share this information so that the relevant person or organisation can operate the registry, auction, event or fundraising page, communicate with you, arrange payment, delivery, collection or fulfilment, issue receipts where applicable, resolve disputes and comply with law.

8. Public pages and information you choose to publish

Some parts of EasyRegistry may be publicly accessible or accessible to people who have a link, including registry pages, auction pages, fundraising pages, event pages, gift lists, auction item listings, organiser names, recipient names, item descriptions, images, sponsor information and other content added by users.

You should not include personal information on public or shared pages unless you are comfortable for that information to be viewed by others who can access the page.

If you add information about another person, business, charity, school, club, not-for-profit, sponsor, donor or recipient, you must have permission to do so where required by law.

9. When we disclose personal information

We may disclose personal information to:

• registry owners, event hosts, auction organisers, sellers, recipients, charities, schools, clubs, not-for-profits or other nominated recipients;
• bidders, buyers, donors, guests or other users where reasonably necessary for the relevant registry, auction, event, transaction, communication or dispute;
• payment providers, including Stripe, PayPal, Revolut and banks;
• technology, hosting, cloud, security, analytics, email, messaging, support and other service providers;
• professional advisers, including lawyers, accountants, auditors, insurers and consultants;
• regulators, law enforcement, courts, tribunals, government agencies or other parties where required or permitted by law;
• another entity in connection with a business sale, merger, restructure, financing, transfer or acquisition involving EasyRegistry;
• other parties with your consent or at your direction.

We may also disclose de-identified or aggregated information that does not reasonably identify an individual.

10. Overseas disclosure and international transfers

Using the Internet to collect, process and store information may involve the transmission of data internationally.

We may disclose or transfer personal information outside your country of residence, including to Australia and to countries where we or our service providers, cloud providers, payment providers or other business partners operate.

The privacy laws of those countries may not be the same as the laws in your country of residence.
